Let’s Talk About Your Speaking Business

This isn’t a sales call. It’s a listening call.

I’m not going to pitch you anything on this call.

What I actually want to do is understand your speaking business — where you are, where you’re trying to go, and what’s getting in the way. That’s it.

I take a limited number of these calls each month because I take them seriously. I’ll come prepared, I’ll listen more than I talk, and if I know someone or something that could genuinely help you, I’ll say so. If what I do isn’t the right fit for where you are, I’ll tell you that too.

If you’re an established speaker who’s feeling stuck — not on stage, but in the business — I’d like to hear about it.

What We’ll Cover

There’s no set agenda. But most conversations end up covering:

  • Where your bookings are actually coming from right now
  • What’s feeling inconsistent or unpredictable
  • Where you think the gap is — and whether I see it the same way
  • What a useful next step might look like, if there is one

When you book, there are a few optional questions that help me come prepared. The more context you share, the more useful the call will be.

You won’t leave with a proposal. You might leave with a clearer picture of what’s worth working on.

Who this is for:

This call makes sense if you’re a speaker who:

  • Is already booking paid gigs but the pipeline feels inconsistent or unpredictable
  • Has plateaued on fees and isn’t sure why
  • Is over-reliant on bureaus, one client, or referral relationships
  • Knows the business side needs work but aren’t sure where to start
  • Wants a straight conversation — not a course, not a funnel, not a pitch

This call probably isn’t the right fit if you:

  • Are just getting started and haven’t booked paid gigs yet
  • Want an agent — someone to represent you and take commission on bookings
  • Are looking for a done-for-you solution at a low price point — DFY work is available but priced accordingly
  • Are happy with where your speaking business is right now

A NOTE ON WHY I DO THIS

Honestly? These calls make me better at what I do.

Every conversation gives me a clearer picture of where established speakers are actually stuck — not where I assume they’re stuck. That makes me more useful to the people I work with, and it sharpens the content and frameworks I put out.

So this isn’t charity, and it isn’t a disguised sales process. It’s how I stay close to the real problems in this space.

If something I offer ends up being relevant to you, great. If not, I hope the conversation was worth your 30 minutes.
